Title: Problems with the DXT5 format
Post by: DaBrain on July 05, 2005, 11:44:02 am
I use PS and the Nvidia DDS plugin for DXT5 map.
Well, lately the alpha channel turns completly white after the conversion.

I don't know why and I don't know how to fix this.

Yeah, I am the texture conversion guy... but I still have no idea... :(

Well, I've never gotten alpha channels to work on any image, let alone a dds one, so I'm not help. but this is a :bump:

BTW; how was the UV? I know it's probably not the best, but is it useable?

It's ok, I can modify it. :)

There is a lot of space in there. I'm going to scale up some parts.

use dxt1 if you dont need transparency. if you do i just add an alpha to the chanels list and that always works.

There is a new version of the plugin on the NV developer site...

It works perfectly now! ;7
