Recently i got this error when starting my computer, i thaught it was just a small random error so i fixed it and restarted my computer, the next day it did it again, now, may i ask...
...Is this indicative of impending hard drive failure?
-
could just be bad sectors?
-
If I were you I'd consider backing up, and grabbing a copy of a diagnostic tool from whoever made the drive.
-
I've seen this problem before. No, your hard drive isn't dieing, and I know how to fix it.
First, you need to boot to the recovery console, and then run a recovery. this is a TEMPORARY fix.
Next, boot to Safe Mode. Now go and install Service Pack 1. Reboot when it is finished and there you go.

Ok, i'm gonna follow Kosh'es advice.
Wish me luck!!!

wait, you mean there are people out there running XP who haven't upgraded to at least SP1? :wtf:
-
Yes. The only time I have ever seen this problem is on Windows XP computers that do not have SP1 on them.
-
wait, i thought all XP's had SP1? :wtf:
-
You thought wrong.
