I've run out of Vasudan ship names. I've already exhausted the site that the Port links to...does anyone know of another place to get more names?
-
Try this:
http://www.20000-names.com/female_egyptian_names.htm
There's male names as well. I did once find a site that had a sort of breakdown of how Egyptian names were constructed, but I can't remember what it was. If I find it again I'll post it. :)

I cannot be bothered going to the port site, so I don;t know if this is the one it links to, but if you have exhausted Encyclopaedia Mythica (http://pantheon.org) Then you can be fairly sure you've exhausted egyptian culture. You could probably try a pharohs list from Wikipaedia or summat.

Just as a note, I like to pick Shivan ship names from lists of demons in mythology
-
If you've got Civ2, start an Eqyptian race and go from there. Plenty of city names to be carried over to ship names.
-
You could always steal modern day names of Egyptian cities (http://www.touregypt.net/maps.htm).
Or even resort to the FS1 convention of names like 'Anvil' or 'Hope'.
-
I actually have resorted to FS1-style naming for some of the older Typhons and Atens in GTVA and...non-GTVA service. The Mecross and the Pinnacle feature, the Hope gets whacked offscreen.

pantheon.org is your best friend :)

Anything, as long as it ends in 'et' or 'ut,' has two syllables and sounds Egyptian.
Khelmet
Indut
Balset
Otherwise you could resort to naming them after their class (i.e. first Hatshepsut might be called GVD Hatshepsut, might be a bit tricky for Typhons and Atens though!)
