[color=66ff00]I thought it was well handled, the back story was good and Browder looks at home. I don't know about the new general though, I get the 'trying too hard' vibe from him.

Spoiler:

I'm glad they didn't push for any OTT humour between Ben Browder and Claudia Black, though the 'I think I'd know if I met someone like you before' and the gleeful 'lets make babies' look were good.

How about the wink to Ben when she was delivering the 1-in-10 line?

I need to see the new season... from the looks of it, this is setting up mythology for several seasons in the future. Rock on.

A day later, my impression of this episode is that it was... weak. It's left extremely unclear who's going to be a regular cast member VS who was just there to smooth the transition. The whole "let's have crazy adventures with the mythical SG-1!" routine was played into the ground. The bit with the hidden tech stash was ripped straight from an older episode, only substituting Ancients for Asgard. And haven't we found enough super-powerful crap laying around on Earth already? Yeesh!

maybe promethius should just start doing an intinsive scan of earth, just to find all the goodies that are all probly still laying around.

Perhaps this show should now be renamed

Fargate- FG1

Dont get me wrong, I LOVED Farscape, but its no longer SG1 without Oneil.  I do think that Ben Browder's "Crichton" persona will make a nice succession (but not replacement) to Richard Dean Anderson's Oneil.

I'm not feeling the King Arthur mythology yet. Its definitely not as interesting as Egyptian or Norse mythologies. We'll have to wait and see what they'll do with it.

God I hate "to be continues"

The new opening nonsequence just adds to the spinoff feel. This isn't really SG-1 anymore. This is something new with a familiar setting and a few new characters. I'm seriously considering not watching it after episode three and Richard Dean Anderson's last appearance.

Glad I'm not the only one irritated at the lack of opening sequences...

:nervous:

I have, I'm still a bit pissed that it was only 278MB as opposed to the usual 350 though. After watching three eps of SG-1 on DVD just the day before and then the Atlantis ep afterward the difference in quality is immediately noticeable.

edit:

:nervous:

Found one in 350! :D

SG-1 - Avalon?

A new season of SG-1? I thought it was over already.

Ah, and I'm a Farscape fan too. It was kinda weird. I like that. ;)
The style of the special effects was rather cool too.

I'm off for a google search. ("SG-1 - Avalon") :)

Edit: This looks seriously worng.

I wasn't planning on posting any links, if anyone wanted them I figured they'd get in touch with me and I'd make the (torrent) file available through other means.
