Can't find a model, it seems, or a model is corrupt...

It's retail with the FS2_open

plus the drive is a CD drive and that file doesn't exist on the FS2 2nd disc

no, that drive mentioned is the coder's drive, where he had those files... Whoever compiled it.

Could FS_O be looking for a different pof for either a warp effect, or some other effect?

Have you got the vp files ending in _fs2.vp in your Freespace 2 folder.  Remember that the Media.VP  don't replace the original VPs, they only add to them.

Looks like you're trying to play a mission and are lacking the proper files.

That file there is a background nebula image that Lightspeed made. It's part of a large pack of upgraded textures and new backgrounds. *gets the link for Milliways*

Your VPs are indeed out of date (Either that or you're running One of Blaise Russel's campaigns that cause this exact problem).

Either way you can check out this thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,29938.0.html) For a quick fix or look on the SCP forum for the 3.6.6 media VP files (You've got the 3.6.5 ones. Where did you get the link from?)

I got the 3.5.6 at the http://scp.indiegames.us/ site.

the _fs2.vp files I have are: root_fs2.vp, Smarty_fs2.vp, Sparky_fs2.vp, Sparky_hi_fs2.vp, stu_fs2.vp, Tango1_fs2.vp, tango2_fs2.vp, tango3_fs2.vp, and warble_fs2.vp

I assume you mean 3.6.5 (I made the same mistake for some odd reason).

3.6.6 are the newest set and as far as I know work perfectly well with the official 3.6.5 build (which I suspect is what you're using, right?)

3.6.5 had certain issues which the thread I linked to above deals with but to be honest if 3.6.6 works you'd be better off with those.

The zpack contains everything in one vp file. If you want to leave out some content you don`t need (e.g. hipoly models or advanced effects if your computer can`t take it), dl the separate files (only the ones you want), otherwise dl this.

You're also using a rather old build.  Try the 20050715 build in the Recent Builds forum.

Thanks guys. The VP pack seemed to have helped. And Goober. I'm not sure which pack you're talking about. There isn't a May 15, 2005 build. Plus what would it do?

May 15, 2005 would be 20050515. :p The build I'm talking about was made on July 15th.

Has anyone had one of the missions freeze for 5 minutes and then quit to windows? It happened to me when the Cthon shows up and then it freezes. Its the mission "memento Mori"
