Title: Station Babylon5 in this update?
Post by: BruceSato on July 19, 2005, 01:01:42 pm
I wonder if the station "Babylon 5" is already in this update?

Can anyone tell me this?

It's there. You'll need to make your own missions if you want to have a fight in B5 space though.

There are currently no missions with the station, but you can make one yourself.

EDIT: Damn it, kara got here first. I should learn to refresh :)

I looked up B5's armament in the Editor and it had only Interceptors.
But it should have 2 different kind of interceptors and at least one heavy plasma turret.

The armament of B5 wa upgraded in season 2 (or was it 3?). Before that there really wasn't too much to cheer about.

Yes, but the number of weapons was raised after the upgrade.
But if the model itself comes with the upgraded weapons, you can just take out the new weapons for getting the original weapons, but you can't just put additional turrets on B5 in FRED.

Actually, for the S2 upgrade, the interceptors themselves were upgraded, but the heavier weapons were added, which means a greater turret count.  I suspect that the TBP team is also working on a version of the B5 model to account for this.

Yes, they where upgraded, what I meant with 2 different kind of interceptors was, that most of them are 2 (4-barrel) turrets on one platform, but at least one interceptor (above the command deck) is "alone on it's platform" so to speak.

I don't know if the double interceptors are implemented as one or as 2 turrets.
