I allways planned for every ship (fighter/bomber) in my campaign to actually elong to a sqad, and thus, have a insignia.
But FS2 came with sadly too few of them...so without further ado:

I will be a releasing a whole insignia pack (the size of the image was too small for all the insignia to fit in) very soon - I jsut need to finish a few more of them.
EDIT: A cookie to whoever can count the Bastion squadrons!
-
Nice. :)
 @ the FIGHTI'N IRISH
I love that one. ^^
-
I count...two Bastion squadrons.
-
wrong...try again
-
Is that weasle, screaming? :p ;)
Look good
-
At first I thought that was a bunch of pogs on green paper.
-
Insignias are pretty cool, though now it reminds me of how I used to think that insignias just looked kinda odd on ships. They were all clean, and a bit too bright. They didn't look like they were painted on the ship, but rather looked like they were "stickered" onto the model.
Meh, maybe if someone is willing to make them more realistic, painted and/or rusted.
And I counted 2 Bastion squadrons too...but I'd guess 3. 1 Maybe.
EDIT: Wait wait...four? Gah this is wracking my brain. Some of them don't have the names on their...so it's like dur?
-
Problem was (and still is, I think) that insignias weren't shadowed in the same way as the ships. Also in reality you'd need them to be slightly transparent as real paint is.
-
I like the wolf one. What could that be? The 21st Black Wolfs/Dark Wolfs?
-
LIEK OMGHIWOW ALL CAPS!
-
OMG!WTF!LOL!BBQ!
-
Bastion squads
1'st AA
66'th Black Knights
Jokers (froget #)
Cutthroats
Screaming Weasels
That's al i can think at this time, mabye nightwolves and/or gunslingers.
-
Also 23rd Flying Panthers and 79th Predoators. I did all of them...But you still get the cookie!
And here's the ZIP file - 62 sqad insiginas total.
Look under More Stuff in my sig for LOGOS.zip

bad file
-
Yes, bad file! Bad, bad file!
*sends file into timeout*
Seriously, the ZIP appears to be corrupt. :)
-
Crap...ugh...Hold on
I'll zip it and upload it again
-
seems good now
most of them have ugly green lines though.
-
Is that Screaming Weasels one lifted straight off SAAB? I can distinctly see a Hammerhead on it.
-
Done!
EDIT: Yes, I did lift that from SAAB. I searched around the net fro things I could use from sprt team mascots, concept art, renders, to god knows what not.. Some of those needed a hefty bit of work before they could be used as insignias.
-
ICK! Tell me I'm imagining things - On nome insignias a green outline can be seen (not that it looks bad on some of them).
Crap! I was sure Ithe background was fully 0,255,0
AAAAA
-
Give us the Flying Hellfish. :D
-
Sorry, the bird-brain part of me is coming out...
Why exactly is there an eagle (I assume it's an eagle...) with a tommygun?
And BWAAA! ^_^ The Screaming Weasles! I remember them from the first mission's CB!
-
6 squadrons?
nice one though. i'll bet FSPort could use that. ;7
-
I don't understand this...some colors probably got changed during the process of decreasing color depth (from RGB to indexed, 256)
It actualyl looks good on most insignias, but on few it looks bad..
I'll fix that..
B.t.w. - did anyone notice that FS2 only shows about 30 of them in the baracks? And it seems to be largely random which it picks..
-
Fighti'n Irish = Class
-
fs2 shows 64 of em for me.
-
Funny, im sure i made some of those back when i used to play multi ... at least used the same source material (gunslingers and the bull dog, plus did some felix ones, and other bits and bobs for varying people). Good good all the same.

Yep.. I made 62 of them.. but I allso have in my sqads folderr the standard FS2 ones extracted. And it shows EXACTLY 64, thus ignoring several of them.
Which means there seems to be a limit there.
