So I made 7-8 mission sfor my campaign so far.
and I started FRED to actually put it together for a test run.
I open the campaign editor - what's this. Mission lsit is empty. tehre's nothing to choose. I tried clicking on everytihng, left click, right click, draging things - nada.
OK - maby it's the FRED version.. so I go and grab the latest one. Start the campaign editor - still no missions!
and I'm slowly going crazy!!!!:hopping:

No idea what's causing it but I just took a look at my SoR folder and I've got exactly the same problem.
EDIT : Solved the problem. I saved the blank campaign to my missions folder and then re-opened it. FRED then rescanned and all my missions showed up.
Still none the wiser about why that worked though.

THANK YOU!

Nay.
Don't clog up the boards with his questions. Assign some poor sucker to answer them all via PM. :D

To be fair to him this one appears to be due to a bug rather than a lack of FRED experience. I have no idea why what I did worked.
-
Probably because it looks for the missions in the same directory as the campaign file.
-
That's what I was thinking. I was careful to make sure that the folder it defaulted to was the same one that my missions were actually in though.
-
Another problem - how the hell does this campaign editor work anyway?
It lists all availalbe mission now, but I can't do anything with them.
I can add those grey rows but that's about it.. nothing else I klick/drag seems to work. no change whatsoever???

Select a mission in the campaign editor, and then hold CTRL+Click on the level where the mission goes. :)
