State Department sucks...
Not only have they been against my country from the beginning (for instance, tehy were suppoerting the weapons embargo when the war begun, making it far harder for us to defend ourselves), but now they've really crossed the line.
the american congrressman McCotter suggestd an amandman with which the US would halt it's support to ICTY (International Crimes Tribunal for Yugoslavia) untill tehy drop the redicolous charges of 4 Croatian reporters that wrote criticly about ICTY's working.
Acoording o the state department, croatian jurnalists arent "real" journalists and thus tehy have no right to basic demoicratic protection - freedom os press, speach and all that jazz.
****tards!

You've lost me a bit. From what you're saying it sounds like 4 reporters wrote critically about the ICTY, were charged with ridiculous crimes and the US has refused to support the ICTY until the charges are dropped.
Have I misunderstood or something cause that sounds like the US are acting to prevent the ICTY acting as a kangeroo court from what you say?
Or did the sentor suggest this and the state department overrule him?

Meh.
Stvarno me nebi cudilo ako neko nije otplatio ta 4 reportera da pisu kako pisu.
Sloboda govora, vijesti I demokratije nikad nije ni postojala u Hrvatskoj.
Samo urlaj HDZ i mozda ti glava ostane na ramenima.

The State Department is a real ***** to have to deal with, I'll give him that.
-
Amandman? That's a new one.

For the champions of democracy, th current US Admin seem quite keen to deny basic rights to as many people as possible (camp X-ray anyone ?)
-
Yeah, I'm as lost as anyone. What's going on?

Um...forgive me, but isn't this a good thing? It sounds like the ICTY is trying to put reporters who wrote badly about them in jail, but the US is threatening to drop their support unless they let them go?

Linkypoos?

Like I said. Confusing. If the US was for once acting against the commission of war crimes (and that would be a first) then why on Earth would Trashman be annoyed about it.
I think we need links.

Ups...damn speed typo.
The thing is State Department intervened and put pressure on MCCotter and others, so the amandman was dropped from voting!

This is the only link I have and it's on croatian.... but it was posted by VOA (Voice of America) so you should be able to find something. I think I saw a link to VOA on that link
