By the way, how's the game anyway? What is the game play like? Eventhough I've seen and heard about it, I still don't quite understand it.

Do I have to pay to join the game?

Well, I had hoped to get some time in on it this weekend, but problems on their end prevented that, maybe tomorrow...the game is mostly a kind of online super Elite, you decide which careerpath, fly what type of ship, etc. Set in a persistent state environment which can be altered by other players during the time you are offline.

didn't know that when I applied...we'll see, for now they allow us to play for free during the beta... (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif) at least I'll have first hand experience  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Will get back with some more when I've played a bit more...
