-
Somewhere on the west coast of America.
-
well, fuck, it's nellis airforce base, WTF do you expect, look 40 miles to the east of there.
-
Say, does Area 51 show up on that, or have they blotted out the UFOs, Lunar Landing Film Set, and Experimental Aircraft Development & Testing Centre?
-
Who carved the (c)google2005 signs in the ground?
-
Anyone know how to put coordinates into google?

It looks like a symbol of the sun to me. Where is this supposed to be?
And how exactly did you run across it?
-
That is very odd. It's probably connected with the upcoming end of the world.

I need a young priest and an old priest.
-
I'll point out, for the next time this comes up, that any time you see a grey area on google maps in map mode, that's a military base. A very large chunk of the southwest is military land.
-
Indeed StratComm (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Rachel,+NV&ll=37.654470,-115.863190&spn=0.759168,1.296799&hl=en) it is - click that and you're looking at a very greyed out Area 51/Goom Lake.

Pervert! :p

****en jews are plotting against us again >:(
-
:wtf:
-
The thing you're linking me to is a bunch of farmland. Exactly what all of those irrigators are doing out in the desert like that, I don't know, but that's actually OUTSIDE of the military reservation. This (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Rachel,+NV&ll=37.240100,-115.809631&spn=0.049205,0.081050&t=k&hl=en) may be the installation you are thinking of.
-
It's the star of David.

Well, I'd like you to suggest a better way to fill a parochial house with an insane tea-obsessed housekeeper on a strange island off the coast of Eire.
-
Thats very strange....
-
This whole thread is...
...wow.
-
The thread fits the title.

zoom in a little bit and it looks like a dragon had a bad scale day... :nervous:
that star is a sherrif badge.

like I said, 40 miles east of the first link, Area 51.
-

I see it.
What the hell is a runway doing so far in the middle of nowhere?
Those are six runways right? 3 big, 3 small
How "convenient" you can't zoom in to that part all the way.

The closest thing I could think of is a old SAM base. But, why they would have one like that out there is beyond me.
-
have you gues realy not looked at all the weird **** in Nellis?
ok, go to Area 51, then go to the vally on the other side of the mountan southwest of it, look at all that ****, includeing a half mile wide crater
-
holy ****! i didn't see that one!
-
Dang, they made a lot of big holes (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Rachel,+NV&ll=37.034145,-116.025581&spn=0.049794,0.081050&t=k&hl=en) in the desert.
-
It's the film set they used to film the Lunar Landings!!! Finally! Proof!!

Look more like slagheaps than holes IMO; the top seems to be too light for an indentation.

We see here (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Rachel,+NV&ll=37.043848,-116.021730&spn=0.006224,0.010131&t=k&hl=en), that the sunlight comes from south/south-east when the picture was taken. And all of the holes/slagheaps are shadowed towards that direction. Yes, the tops/bottoms are bright, I guess the sun was high enough to shine to the very bottom of the crater, so only the slopes toward SSE were in the shadow.
-> thus, methinks those are explosion craters.
And I think thats the one Bob mentioned (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Rachel,+NV&ll=37.177022,-116.046095&spn=0.006213,0.010131&t=k&hl=en). That sure was a big bang.

You're right, I think; I've read it's subsidence craters from underground nuclear test explosions.
-
What the hell is going on in the deserts?
-
Your tax dollars at work. :p
-
Not mine, thank ****. Mine go on stuff like Olympics for London, an uoverpriced urban blight in Edinburgh and selling the local swimming baths to a supermarket then waiting 5 years to decide to replace them.
-
So basically you and I would get more bang/F117-A for our buck if we were living stateside?
-
Definately more bangs. Less social welfare, democracy, healthcare, security and civil liberties, but definately some nice big 'splosions.

That's where Mr Burn's has the nuclear waste vents from his powerplant in springfield located.
Yep. there on Extraterrestrial highway...
-
that's a farm, you have a spoke with sprinklers on it and you grow stuf
-
Is that where they grow the tomacco?
:nervous:

Yep. If you zoom in the the bottom left hand corner you can see a bald yellow guy going into one of the towers.
*Wonders if he's going to get replies from people who can't see the bald yellow guy*
-
-
*Excellent*

You can see everything even better in Google Earth.
