Title: anyone here used Vue d'Esprit 2.0
Post by: aldo_14 on August 08, 2001, 03:35:00 pm
It's a 3d landscape generator program thingie, I got it free on a coverdisk.

Thing is, I'm wondering if;
a/ it's any use for renders - it has some pretty cool sample scenes within, which I'll post up later if i have the time.
b/ there's a convertor for cob / 3ds to *.vob (the format it uses), so I can use mapped models.  It supports RAW and DXF, but I vcan't get textures with those (I think).

This is from a sample scene that come with the proggy.  I think I could use it for some neat stuff if I can import the models..

vue d'esprit, yeah I know that, it's a french prog made and used by, I think, callisto. They released it for free which is cool. I d/led it from their website, but to be honest, I could understand nothing lol
But for what I remember, it seems to have VERY powerfull mapping tools. It's mainly a prog for rel time models too, so I would have used it, but the .vod limitation is quite annoying.

It's very difficult to add models in this program...
