The difference being that I knew Skippy could split the thread once he'd had a laugh at the joke and that I hoped Skippy would find it amusing enough to be worth the effort.

Hell I was going to wait a day or two and then split it off myself.


The problem with Cobra is not that he spams once or twice. It's that he constantly does it for very little reason. I've never had a problem with allowing small amounts of off topic to slip by on the grounds that it's good for the community to feel they can laugh and joke with each other.

Had Cobra posted the above instead of me I'd have left it in place and congratulated him on making me laugh.

It was from the Skippy's Campaign List thread.

Skippy was complaining that his antispam software had stopped him getting a notification that someone had posted to his thread so he would know to do updates.
