There is an early FS2 trailer on the Silent Threat disk I think.  Looks absolutely aweful if I remember it correctly.  Otherwise, I don't think trailers for video games were very popular 6+ years ago.

Go here (http://tinyurl.com/22c6t)

Then you'll probably find your way here (http://freespace2.com)

:p

Though his searching skills could stand a bit of improvement. ;)

ZmaN, there are working links for FS1 and FS2 trailers on the www.volition-inc.com and www.freespace2.com sites respectively.

Personally I don't think there's a better trailer for FreeSpace than FS1's opening cutscene.

I think you play it from the launcher or something.  I honestly can't remember.  And if it's MVE, no wonder I remember it being aweful :)

There isn't any trailer on the FS1 discs.

Why are you looking for trailers for the games anyway? It's prolly easier to dl a few of the cutscenes.

Copy it to your Freespace 2 folder and rename it intro.mve. It will play at the start of the game unless you're using FS2_Open (In which case check my FAQ for details on how to convert mve to avi).

*cough cough hack spit* (http://n.ethz.ch/student/ebuerli/download/FS2_Trailer.AVI)

Somewhere on an old PC, I have the FS1 trailer and an even older FS1 trailer in .EXE form, which showed a beta version with all kinds of weird $hit going on.
I should try to get that of that old PC one day.

In FS1 GOTY/reprint/ whatever the hell the jewelcased FS1/ST pack was called, it automatically played at the end of FS1's install process. I wasn't sure of any other way to play it... but it sustained me for several years until I managed to "acquire" FS2.

Anyone got a FS2 GOTY or White Label up for trade/sale?
