What do you fellas use ? Is a mouse sufficent or is investing in one of those electric canvas 'n' pen type things the way to go ?
Time I got off my lazt ass and started movin' away from those ugly-ass :v: textures.
Anyone care to recommend any decent Photoshopbooks/websites/whatever too ?

depends, a mouse is sufficient, but if you -really- want fine control over things, i'd suggest a tablet..
oh, and get photoshop, it's a much better program compared to PSP, especially in the way it handles layers, but PS is a memory hog, so be warned.

It depends if you want to generate textures or if you want to draw them. Tablets are to enable any hand-drawing skills ou may have to work with a computer, nothing more.

that's also quite true

I've got both Turnsky, though I have tended to stick more with PS
I was a bit of an artist in school circa 7 years ago (:shaking: ) but I am now looking principaly into doing textures. What's the difference betwen generating and drawing textures anyway ? :)

I use a mouse.

So a mouse-only method is viable ? That's what I was lookin' to find out. Cheers.

Works fine for me. I'm too stingy (and probably clumsy) to use a tablet......

I'm going to say that drawing is...self explainatory whereas generating is where you use effects/shaders/layers/amalgomation of other textures and what have you to make a new texture, but I could be wrong.
