I just installed COD for PC.
And it says it cannot open or load OpenGL. I know some sort of feature or gig for FSO (SCP) has or is related to OpenGL, so im asking for some info on this, and links to wher i might find a d\l for OpenGL (?) so i can play COD, or some sort of help.
Thanks all..

1) What is COD?
2) What does the error message say when it can't load OpenGL?
-
COD = Call of Duty (http://www.callofduty.com/), a WWII FPS.
It runs using the OpenGL Engine, AFAIK...

Ah, played it. The fact that it has jack **** to do with SCP kinda threw me.
@Charismatic: The actual error message would help but upgrading your video card drivers would be your best option. Either that or asking in another forum that has something to do with Call of Duty.

Well the rare day or so i got SCP to work, i saw a D3d something and a OpenGL option..for something. So i figure sence the OpenGL was my problem, and HLP knows what the **** it is.. i might as well post in the SCP forum where they might be able to kindly help me..
Something along the lines of "Unable to load OpenGL" Load or run, or w\e. Then it proceded to tell me to update my driver cards.. which i beleive are all working properly and updated. Not 100% but the comp admin was on for about an hour trying to get this to work and im guessing he did it.

OpenGL and Direct3D are essentially drivers that exist between the hardware and software layers of your computer. They are mostly just a translation of what a game engine is supposed to do to what the hardware (i.e. your video card) is supposed to do.
OpenGL exists on your system if your card and drivers support it. Which other peices of software use OpenGL or don't has little to do with OpenGL itself.
So the issue you're having is probably drivers related and in no way SCP related.

Thanks for the info. So basically, im Fuxored..

Check the driver version for your card (in Windows, it's Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager -> Display Adapters -> double click on your card and goto the 'Driver' tab) against the manufacturers latest. Just to make sure you're up to date.
AFAIK OpenGL libraries are included in the drivers, so if the drivers are out of date the ogl libraries might be too.

a better question: what video card
