Title: Trying to install Transcend, minor issues
Post by: SadbutTrue on August 15, 2005, 01:19:53 pm
Ok, I followed, from what I've seen, all the directions for installing transcend.  Put the transcend folder in the main FS2 directory.  Switched it to open gl.  And put -mod transcend in the command line of my FS20pen exectutable.  I cannot see the the campaign name in the list, however.  I'm sure its just an ewbie mistake, as I've never done this before.  What am I missing?

Also, with all the FS2open updates that come down, do I need a new launcher?  I downloaded the 3.6.7 (Goobers?) version, and it did not come with a new launcher.  WIll my old one work?  Or is a new one needed?

Edit:  In addition, do I also just stick backgrounds/nebula, and new models, into the FS2 directory?

Thanks

all data should be in /transcend/data, not only /transcend.

Everything apart from the VP files. They should be in /Transcend

yeah, all the vp files are in /transcend and the data files are in data/movies.

however, the only data file i see is a movie file.  that and the two .vp files are the only files i see in the entire transcend directory...

and i still can't see it in the campaign list.

When i'm remeber correctly, the Ending.avi must in /transcend, too, not Data and not Data\Movies.

Maybe it's different for you, but i have a Crash in the last Mission, when i'm place it in data\movies, in \...\Transcend it runs fine.

I don't know, where the Problem is, but have you the correct path with the Mod-Command?
