That's pretty impressive (type with your eyes closed). Is it because of your years of typing experience?
-
Its pretty easy to type with one's eyes closed after you've learnt the ins and outs of the keyboard ya know...... :p
(yes, I typed that out while blind)

no, I think it's because I looked at the keyboard just before I typed the first letter and it burned an image in my mind for a few seconds. If you type longer, I think you lose the accuracy as that fades. If you make a single mistake, yer screwed.
I was actually trying to make a mistake by typing blind, though. Nuts, eh?
-
could be that, but after a couple of years of typing you actually get a feel for where the keys are.
as the others, this was typed without looking at the keys. well, I admit, I misspelled "without" first, and I knew I did so I had to see how many keys to remove with backspace, but other than that... it's a ***** if I'd want to learn dvorak now, though.
-
I typed this out with my eyes closed...and in dvorak too! ^_^
Anyway, this opens Pandora's Box for subliminal messages.

So looking at a picture of a naked woman for ten seconds means that you won't pay much attention when, for example, a picture of a teacup appears afterwards? And they spent how much finding this out?

I see. So that's your secret :D

Perhaps you should give it a try and see if the result matches the one in the article ;)
-
i found this article a bit funnier:

It's not really that difficult to type with your eyes closed, you know, once you get the feel of the keyboard in your head (and, admittedly, once you're a total nerd).
I personally don't like typing with my eyes closed, simply because I don't do it very much anyway. It takes my attention off of more... important things :nervous:
And yes, I just wrote all of that with my eyes closed. And this part too!

 Well, the thing is, just because the scientist says that an image of a teacup is a more important thing to look for than a naked woman, doesn't mean that your brain agrees, you have countless generations of genes replying 'bollox' ;)
-
Pff, why watch a bevvy of attractive semi or unclad women in suggestive poses when you can have a nice cup of char?

Too true

I think "duh" sums it up.

 Imagine if that article was published by an American source Phreak.

*types sentence with eyes closed*
meh, as i've seen porn pop-up ads, i can definitely tell you that porn doesn't make you go blind.
-
Typeing blind is fine. No problem, and its not hard at all. See im doing it now. YAY!
-

Corrected.
I'll let you get back to Nasty Housewives scheizer video XVII now.
-
A pair of scissors placed in the right place can sooner make you blind than porn.
I'm wondering: How many men have gone blind because of porn. :nervous:
-
That surely depends on how many have girlfriends or not?
-
I don't even look at the keyboard anymore, just at what I'm typing.
I make more errors from just generally typing in a rush than from not seeing the keys...
-
i think it's decided that almost all of us can type without looking at the keyboard. ;)
-
Well,m not always. I need more practice, I think.
[EDIT] Not bad, only one typo.
-
Brilliant, Holmes. You look at something you like and therefore you try to keep it in your head for a little bit. I can't believe that nobody figured that out before.
Ahh, science. Gotta love it.
