Now we have an ALPHA release at Hade's Combine, and an extra sneak peek.
The military models' weaponry, built mainly into where the passengers would be in the civilian model:

Too much firepower? Note using half-size cyclops torpedos (featuring in a missile pack at some point in the future, which could actually be fired from the Medusa's bomb bays)

Oooo - missiley.

LOoks good Raptor :)

HC is really starting to bug me. I go to download something and I get the php file of the main page instead of the mod.
-
I take it you're going to use VWep?
And are those high-poly Cyclops models I see? :D

If it's happening only with the link above, that might be my fault. I think I put the link to to page where the download is listed rather than the download itself.
@DarthWang: Well, since player craft can only have two gunbanks, and as one is filled by a micro beam cannon, and the other by the gatling HL-12's (or other gatling weapons), the Trogen will act more as a missile boat from your point of view (besides, got HUGE amount of space avalible for warheads...;))
Note that the cyclops would be the heaviest warhead you could carry. The Trogen will be slated more for treb use than anything else...
But don't forget there's also the dorsal/ventral quad hyper-velocity Prometheus turrets, and the tail quad HL-12...;7

Err... no. It's a screenie from within TS. I don't like the cell shading thingy much (not that I've seen much of it)

No, every mod on the site does it. I'm at a loss as to why, though...

When you save the file, get rid of the .php extension and replace it with .rar. It's all a format issue.

Okay, has anyone tried my ALPHA Release?:nervous:
Comments? Suggestions?

Couple of things:
I think the basic design lacks a vertical element. Looks a little flat.
Try maybe enlarging the rear half ? Or the engine areas ?
I'd remove the wings as they don't really serve any purpose. Try varying the width of the basic model with say, moving the leading half of the engine pods inwards or something ?
Some of the details (such as the, I presume, the side docking points) are a little too smooth. If poly count isn't really an issue I wouldn't worry too much about that though.
Overtiled. Plus I reckon you've overused our old mate the AWAC tile ( though from my own experience I can appreciate why). Could really use unwrapping but that's easier said than done 'course.
All this is intended as construction feedback and isn't meant with any hostility. Would have been better to post more screenies as I can't really see why you would want to release unfinished work
:)

I tired to add vertical features, though it's hard when the main armerament is the Dorsal/Ventral turrets. They need clear fring arcs.

The're there for TR fluff. It's atmosphere capable. Besides I've always liked wings on the smaller craft;)
If it becomes possible to have reversivible submodel annimation cued to the docking sequence, then they (the wings) would shift.
Part of the trouble with this design is, I want side dockpoints, but the ship also needs a good cargo area in the back. You don't know how many different variations I sketched before going with this...

Didn't think they were smooth myself:doubt:

The tilling is really only there as a temporay skin to allow for use in game. The whole release really was about getting the Tbl entry right.
When it comes time to properly texture it I will unwrap the ship's skin. I fully intend to give it a complete custom texture map.

See above.
