Post by: 'Captain' Nick Brown on August 15, 2001, 10:47:00 pm
Does anyone know how to use strings in Fred2? I know how to use variables, but what about strings? What can they do?

You can hang things from them if you tie them to hooks... you can tie up packages, people and pretty much anything else you want to in string... you can amuse a cat with string... the list is endless  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

Come to think about it, a piece of string is about the most versatile thing mankind has ever set visual sensor apparati on.

How long is a piece of string?

Longer than a short piece of string, but shorter than a long piece of string.

Unless of course you take into account Quantum Superpositioning, in which case a string may at any given point in time be either longer or shorter than said piece of string.

String is twice the distance as it is from the middle to the end, any smart @$$ed school child knows that (aren't they funny)...

But I think Jabu said it best  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

The string is as long as you make it.
Although this doesn't include G-strings, they are fun... well, on other ppl of the opposite sex at least  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)
