This is my latest masterpiece done TOTALLY in Paint Shop Pro 7. I think I still need to work on the engine glows and the ends of the beams but I think as long as I use these methods, my renders will turn out ok.

Hmmm, maybe work on the lens flares a little, and try placing the explosions over the beams. Otherwise though, it looks sweet (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

I'll just try removing the lens flares altogether on my next render. I'll also try putting the explosions over the beams.

Put the explosions over the beams, and not vice versa, but still cool (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Whoa... beautiful. You just need heavier damage effects around the exit points of the beams, and that render is a killer. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
