Title: Come join me playing MULTI!
Post by: Kazan on September 05, 2005, 07:47:01 pm
Use this fs2 open multiplayer server
http://www.game-warden.com/forum/showthread.php?t=267

[edit]
i'm trying to figure out why sometimes two players cannot see each other.. i have a feeling fs2 pings over UDP

[edit2]
yeah it does.. after the next revision i'll have it send over reliable or change the way it lists games

my ports may not be -- ports 4000 UDP and 3999 TCP

you can try hosting [i'm not seeing you logged in on the player list]

i think its the ports 7117 and 7808 both UDP and TCP

i cant host since the server gives me a local IP when I try and host cause its in my network

it's probably related to either my firewall [i may have to reset my router before being able to play.. which would suck because i cannot do that since my fiance is playing everquest right now]

or the use of UDP for pinging a server

Hmmm. It doesn't connect for me, even though I don't have any ports blocked on my end of things. And since I'm at college, it's not like I have control over the router... so I guess I'm screwed.

I'd be interested in playing with some human after all again, same thing i figured, couldn't see anyone hosting a game. Had 1 visitor on my host once.

There ain't any irc channel where people who are willing to play can meet right ?

irc://irc.maxgaming.net/ssx is most likely your best bet, but PXO will be re-instated in a few months, so it's really best to wait for that.
