Hey everyone. I'm looking for some excellent shots, preferably cutscene shots, or something or anything FreeSpace. I"m adding a games section to my website, and the shots will go into a melding image to be used for the index page.
Thanks (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

I have a lot that I could convert to JPEG for you, but most of them have mods in them that are mine or someone else's. You'd need to get permission from a huuuge load of people.
-
Thanks guys, I'm actually just looking for 2 really good ones. One for FS1 and one for FS2. They're both going to have their own pages under my games section.
Sandwich, I got your screenies and I'm lookin through them now. Alikchi, what types of jpg's? Can you send some?
-
You can take any one of my renders from the Array if you want... (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Thanks everyone, I found some good ones. Sandwich, that battle was fierce. Down with the NTF (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
Setekh, Thanks, I used an image of Bosch, for FS2, it really fit the image, especially after the image for FS1 (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
The image is right here. More will be added as more games go in, etc (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Considering that the people who play the campaign will be people who've played through FS2, I'm not planning on starting at a lower difficulty level and ramping up. From the get-go I'll be taking into consideration the serious superiority of human players to AI, assigning missions to suit, and explaining them by having the player be a true war-veteran, battle-hardened top ace. (i.e.due to the limitations of FS2 AI, you will not be fighting any smarter ships, but there will be more)
..right? Or have you found a way to put in a new ai or somethingg?
-
A new AI, that would be great, at least to have them not bump into you (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
Seriously, I could see your point Sandwich. Also, instead of doing that, you could hack the tbl files and just make each enemy harder (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

The *.TBL files are pretty limited on what they can accomplish. Even with evasion jacked clear up to 100% I still get to watch my pilots fly straight into the ships they're SUPPOSED to be escorting (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

I told you that It ("http://www.geocities.com/jskgames/home.html") would be done by November, well, mostly anyway...

Hehehehehe, I wonder why they do that.
Yea, all that hardcoded stuff. I wonder if that works both ways too, if they hit enemies (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Most (not all, but most) of the "difficult" missions until now have been of the "swarm-them-till-they-give-up!" variety. I hope to include as many new ways of making a mission difficult as I can think of. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Heheheheheh, many new ways of making the player tear his/her hair out (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

It's easy enough - ai.tbl can do stuff to a limited effect, and i've been using it to try and 'tweak' the nightmares to fight a bit differently to the Shivans.... hopefully it'll work (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

I've been guilty with a lot of AI .tbl tweaking, such as Shivans now slide and such in tBE. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)
Also, on difficult missions, Twilight has one pretty hectic fights without too many ships involved, I also plan on a lot of "tactical engagements" that will require heavy thinking. (pretty much puzzles)

That they do; they weren't infinite. Just annoying. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

Yeah... AI... morning stars... *grumble grumble* (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)
-
LOL, the AI rules with the Morning Stars. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
hehe, yes they are really good with those things. I have also found them to be quite skillful with Maxims and, to a lesser extent, Piranhas. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
BTW I have a lot of interesting screenshots; let me see if I can fliter out some of the better ones and post links here.
