hehe sorry to spam the forum with questions that are probably stupid, but uh how do I us the extra vps?
I downloaded mv_zpack and mv_adveffects and first I tried the game with the zpack only, and it looked great..
Then I extracted the adveffects vp into my fs2 folder, but uh how do I use it? is it used automaticly, or do I have to add some kind of flags?

it's used automatically. Though if you actually have a file named mv_zpack.vp you should toss it and download the 3.6.6 vps from the SCP website.

oh I thought zpack included the latest files, but alright, Ill do that, thanx..
edit: oh noticed now that I didnt actually have a file called zpackvp, it was just the zip :)

You should also take a look at the modding forum. There is some realy cool stuff thats not included in the vp's there, like the 3D shockwave or some htl models.

Ok, then you've followed correct procedure :) If you've got mv_core, mv_models, mv_effects, mv_textures and mv_adveffects (and any other vps starting with mv as there are one or two more that you may have) you should be straight. I wish there was a way to tell one set from the next other than the splash screen, but unfortunately there really isn't.
