I was trying to convert some SW model from the Star Wars Warlords (Homeworld 2), but, I met a big trouble.
The ship doesn't have the same orientation as the Fs2 ships.
I mean, instead the ship go forward, my model travel the space like a crab :/
I try to rotate the ship in Ts 3.2 but nothing happens.
How can i resolve this ?
Here a screen from Deep Exploration (look at the axes from the model and from the grid).

And now, into Freespace 2 :

if you are wanting to do star wars ships.....and they don't have what you want in the Star Wars Mod....why not go get the FS1 star wars mod and then simply transfer the ships to FS2?
If you'd rather not, rotate the model by 90 degrees and check it again in fs2....one of the problems with building a pof from a cob is screwy axes.

Hum, there are really a Star Wars mod for Freespace 1 ?? O_o
I've never heard about that...
Do you have links ?
-
Screwy axes... yes.
You're not the only one who has this problem...

ROFL.
Export a POF from PCS and load it into Truespace, that'll tell you how to make your ships point in the future.

I do hope you've at least notified EJ of your use of his models, that is, if you intend to distribute this mod...?
-
No, I won't intend to use this mod for public but just for my own pleasure. I decided to mod just because I can't wait anylonger the official HLP SW release.
And, I need some news graphics stuff in Star Wars Space sims.
Dabrain -> lol.

Hmm, I found a way to resolve my problem, I have to convert first into 3ds format and have to rotate the model during the conversion (I use Deep Exploration software for this) , and then I have to correct the vector properly into TS.
With this, the model recognize all modification we did into TS.
