The title says it all. I needed to do some texture work for the Scroll of Atankharzim, and these sort of came off as a bonus. I hope they find their way into the next media VP.

Base maps are in DDS, glow and shinemaps are in PCX format.

what the hell

Ah good. I've been using a Cairo texture variant on a yet-to-be-released model. Nice to have that map match the rest again :)

The hint is subtle, yet effective.

Looks quite nice.
I think you should use DDS (DXT5) for shinemaps though, if you want them to be added to the media VP.
Many people use envirounment mapping already and as soon as OpenGL supports it, even more are going to use it.

While I'm at it. I've been wanting to do this for a while, but now that the models are being used in the weapons selection interface, I have more of a motivation...
High detail models for the Tsunami, Harbinger, Cyclops and Helios bombs. Why these? They're bigger, they show up in the target display box, and on bombing and intercept missions there are lots of them. They'd look better with higher-resolution texture maps, though.

 to all except for the Helios. It looks like it's disassembled in front.

That's due to the alpha map in the image, not the actual model.

w00t, now all we need is for someone to make high-poly maps for 'em. ;)

hi-res maps
and im not entirely sure its worth the memory

I don't think we'll get much closer to them in combat than that, and they look fine even as static images, never mind moving models. So yeah, probably a waste of effort.

In combat no but the problem is that if you are using the "Use models for ship selection" option, missiles look incredibly ugly.
