Title: The BSG project could use some support!!! (image heavy)
Post by: Omniscaper on September 11, 2005, 08:19:26 pm
Our mod for the Freespace 2 Open source project (//www.hardlightproductions.com)had a good start, but now things are slowing down due to a stressed out 3d team.  I'm concerned about a lack of interest being a factor in our support recruitment department. We could use more graphic help!!!
Begin shameless pimping:

Here is a recap of whats 90-100% finished:

We are in still need of 2d graphics folk for backdrops, effects, menu art, etc.  Texture artists are in demand as usual, 3d modellers are always welcome, and Fredders.

I can, uhm, test missions. :nervous:

I doubt my artistic skills are what you're looking for though (http://wmcoolmon.deviantart.com/gallery/?type=browse&offset=24). :p

If you need someone to insult you while you do your best, I'm your man.

Just ask Ace. I'm the best at it.

Seriously though, I'm very low end as far as a computer goes, but still with the ability for it to not burn when put on mid-range, and since you seem to be doing that on a high end, you might want beta-type input on how it runs on retarded computers.

Also, nice p1mping.

Not sure how they'd compare to some of the FREDers in here, but I've made ~25 missions (including a small branching campaign), and looking at some campaigns (Aeos in particular), I could do something like that if I worked at it. I'm not great with in-mission chatter, however, and my briefing/debriefing abilities need work.

Should I send you a sample mission, see if I'm good enough for the project?
