...yeah they say they ruled out terrorism. My guess - everyone turned their airconditioners on higher and the grid blew. Blackout 2005...just like Blackout 2003.

also, the cause of te blackout was tha some poor sap cut the wrong wire and the entire system went down to keep from going kablooey.

Post by: Flipside on September 13, 2005, 12:28:51 pm: I find it very very hard to blieve that a single wire thin enough to be cuttable by a human, apparently with power running still through it, could possibly lead to this level of blackout. Even if it was controller system or the like, there would be backups etc for emergencies?
