A new one from Taito World Airforce:
Damn this game is looking good... I can't wait for them to get the final dev kits so they can start putting out the 4x AA shots though. And some more action shots would be nice. But I don't think this game is going for the arcade style. It said something about having an advanced physics model. I'm hoping it's simtacular.
Someone post MGS4 screens when they come up... (seen scans, but scans are no good)
-
So..... How much are you being paid for this advertisment?
-

:D
Still can't find any MGS4 shots.

Really. Give it a break, eh? At least have the decency to post in the old thread, rather than starting a new one with a new title every ten seconds to fool people into thinking it's not another fanboy pimp-job.
-
What? Why are you quoting kara about that? :wtf:
Anyway...the game looks good, but I'll wait before I give out my judgement on it.

Because I'm getting sick of the fanboyish advertising.
-
Cause I'm pointing out an opinion he agrees with. (Although it took me a few seconds to realise that :D )
EDIT : BTW while I'm at it anyone notice how crappy the ground looks in that first picture compared with the bullshots we saw earlier?
-
Looks like a pasted jpeg texture IMO. Maybe they don't need ground geo for an arcade shooter (and 'advanced physics' does not mean simulation, it just means your bullets cause debris to fly off a bit more convincingly)
-
They announced the new Ace Combat game too:p
sorry but that cockpit looks pretty weak they need to work on that

here's some MGS4:Guns of the Patriots

It's a good word. I think it should be used :)

Hold up. I read on the offical Konami website a few months back that Mtel Gear Solid: 4 would take place after Metal Gear Solid: 2. So what the hell is going on?
Why does Snake look more like an old Big Boss? What the hell happend to Liquid Snake when he ran off with Metal Gear Ray?
Please dont tell me they've changed the time-line again and we are playing in the past as Big Boss rather then learning what is happening in the furture.
-
Snake's aging too rapidly due to his genes + Foxdie. Being a clone of Big Boss means that you're susceptible to fast aging, due to the donor being an old git when he gave his genes to the Les Enfants Terrible project. Notice Solidus Snake (same batch as Solid and Liquid).
-
WTH!!!!
All the sites have the GoW and NNN presentations blacked out!!! What the HELL! WHY ARE THEY HIDING IT!!!

note that Snake's Eyepatch isn't on the same side as Big Boss' in MGS3

looks like it. could be a working title, too. it may make sense once one plays the game, as other than the obligatory, "snake eater" for MGS3 didn't make that much sense until you got into the plot itself, either.

Those Metal Gear Solid screenshots are amazing, though I doubt the final game will measure up. Bullshots indeed.

I've read that MGS is going to be the first playable/real time PS3 game shown, so hopefully we'll find out soon enough.

considering Snake's Genetic "Heritage" he's proof of the pitfalls of human cloning.
-
what do you mean?
-
Actually.
Hal Emmerich got way older.
This one probably happens 10 - 15 or so years after MGS2, and Snake is 50ish to 60ish years old then.
No doubt he'll look like a geezer.
What disturbs me is that he looks almost exactly like Ocelot.

do the math, here.
1) he's a clone of Big boss (Mgs3, had you play as big boss in the late 60's)
2) it's 2012 in MGS3, snake has rapidly aged because of the old genetic structure that snake shares with big boss.. so, he may actually appear to be at the same age as big boss himself.
Rapid aging of a cloned subject due to the age of the genetic materal from the host is one of the major pitfalls of cloning living organisms.
-
Also, Gamespot states that stuff in the trailer had so much aliasing that it was definatly in real-time.
Those images might have been maniplated slightly to suit "screenshot" material, but they are most definatly not bullshots.
After all, no MGS game ever featured bullshots AFAIK.

Kojima knows his stuff.

Is it just me or is old Snake basically just Nick Fury in tights??

Normal Nick Fury, yes. Not the Ultimate version though....

er....is it just me, or does snake have a knife in that first pic? That's kind of odd, isn't it? Snake hates knives, neh?

he hates long blades..
i reckon they're gonna rework the CQC from MGS3 to feature in this one.
