Nice one. I've yet to test it, but the idea is great.

I heard many people complaining about the difficulty of TBP. This should help a bit.  ;)

Sweeeeeeet ! :D

Question though.. That earth base like in the pic above .
Is there a way to make it stop spinning or slow down the spin rate . Evey map it's on in any game slows my comp down to a crawl even when it's like  just 2 fighters and the base. Works fine otherwise.

Can't wait til your whole project is completed !!!!!!!!!!

It's nice to have a tutorial...;)

It's somewheat similar to Babylon 5 IFH: Danger and Opportunity prequel...

the first of the training missions also started on Io Transfer Point...
(basics of flight) and later you flew through hyperspace to Wolf Mlitary Training Grounds for fighter combat training...

What's interesting in the first mission the Tiger Starfury is mentioned (the pilot who we're "flying" flew those fighters before year 2242  )

About that station SPOO:
I have Celeron 600Mhz and that station doesn't give me any slowdowns..:wtf:

Maybe you should lower the details or play a bit with the launcher graphics options...the game will look :p , but you should receive better performance...

The real system resource drainer is the B5 monstrocity itself:lol:

Will help loads for new poeple first 3 missions are very easy, then it starts getting hard, and your final test is challenging, but by the time your ready to get through em, your ready to crack on with the rest of the campaign.

Forgot to mention that these tarining missions are in a campaign.  So you play the game as a campaign progressing through them.  Forgot to mention that in case you thought they were just missions.  This campaign is Still not hosted yet so when it is please put it on this thread.

Yes, with PCS you can change the speed, or stop it.. You`d have to edit the subobject that is in question..

(edit) Almost forgot :welcome: SPOO

I have a problem:
Whenever I start the first mission, my fighter is just dead. I cannot accelerate, move, shoot, whatever. I just hear the sound of the controls.
And the fighter, that is supposed to attack me, is slowly moving away.
Does anybody know, what might be the problem?
Thanks

I get exactly this problem with the "infestation" campaign - haven't found a download link for the Training Campaign yet.

Are you sure you have no other tables in the table folder?
I had a similar problem once, that was caused by having wrong tbl files in there...

I've simply had installed to many beta forum files...

and what tbl files?
I looked the whole TBP folder, but I didn't find any of these.

if you would install changed tables files(data of all ingame objects like max eapons speed etc.) in TBP/data/tables you could have similar effect... at least I had when I've installed When the Darkness Falls campaign after I've installed DaBrains experimental 3d shockvawes for TBP...
(although I could swear I've deleted them before) ;)

the tables files are located inside your core vp file as well as most of in-game data

in normal freespace all those files would be in appriopriate folders in data folder
Note that files in data/folders have priority of usage instead those in vp file

I don't have this folder.
And it is not just weapons, nothing works.
Do you think, it might be missing table files? Where could I get these?

Actually I'm not sure with your issue...
How did you installed your TBP?
And what else did you install like missions etc.? Beta forum content?

no, just the base file from the Babylon Project homepage and some mission packs, but no beta stuff. And other missions work.

You're having problems with infestation campaign, right?
Have you installed all the sound files provided with infestaion to thw corresponding folders in TBP/data?Campaigns and missions provided by madaboutgames usually require voice files from the series...

If I'm correct they are provided with the Survivor 5 mission campaign made by madaboutgames... were they also in Infestation (I don't know, because I haven't downloaded it yet)...?

in Survivor there are just the mission files (Survivor isn't working, either).
I reinstalled Infestation, didn't work. I found a new strange thing: When I use afterburner, the background flashes white, not the asteroids, ship, planets,... just the background. And I don't move.

Sorry I'm out of ideas? Are you sure you've installed everything like described on Shauns page http://www.b5heatemup.co.uk
Are other campaigns and missions working correctly? Like the Earth Minbari War or RW?
