Title: Shadows of Lylat calling for a bit help again

We're still searching for a decent UV mapper. There are a few models that need to be UV mapped soon. Those models are slowing down our progress.

We also need another texture artist, as the one who joined a while ago, just disapeared. (Real-life?)

A sound artist (only sound effects!) could also help us a lot.

We don't really need another 3d modeller, but if you're really good, we're interested anyway.



That's it. An UV mapper is needed most!

Another important position: Table editor

I thought I could take care of that, but I lack the experience.

We need someone who is good at working with tables and we need him asap.

Tell me more, what kind of involvement we are talking about here? In other words, how much work you need to have done?

Axem made some fine tables for Alpha release 2. We got a lot of new stuff for Alpha release 3. I've patched new tables together, which work somehow... As long as you don't use a debug build. ;)

We need someone to add new ships, buildings, effects and the like into the tables.

I think it's not that much work for someone who's experienced in working with tables. We got quite a number of models, but most of them are buildings or other static objects.

Many things have been added already too.

That's the reason I thought even I could take care of this... but it was too much for me after all...
Adding effects is no problem, but those subsystems and banks. :mad:
There are just too many thingsI don't know and I should really concentrate on texturing now. I'm the only texturer after all. :(

I can send you a copy of the tables and a list of the ships that have to be put in.

Edit: I should probably have written that this is all about he ships.tbl and the weapons.tbl. Everything else is fine already. :)

It's too early for balance tweaking.

I only asked because I can do some small stuff when I have absolutely nothing else to do, a bit of freelance work for you so to say. If you need someone who works on it actively and gets stuff done quite fast, I'm afraid I cannot promise anything like that and suggest you look further for someone else.

I can take a look nevertheless, if you allow me to. I need the models too if I have to add subsystems to ships.tbl.

Originalglenn joined the team as sound effect artist.

We made some progress again, but we really need someone to take care of the tables.

Another texture artist might be nice too, although I think I can still handle it alone.

We're still searching for talented people.

Additionally we need a coder now. Some of the SCP coders helped us with a few things, but having a coder in the team should be a lot more uncomplicated. We do not expect wonders. We got some complex requests, but also a lot of easier stuff. (which isn't less important :) )
