Totally awesome. Just play it. BTW, your shots home in, so don't worry about precision.

Interesting.  Music's ripped right out of a couple of older games (I recognized Extreme-G right off the bat) and controls are a little odd, but it's nice to see java games finally breaking into the world of 3d.

Chrome was written in Java, apparently.  They've had various bindings to OGL for a while, as well as the general Java3d api.  This is well done, but it's not the pinnacle.  Very good for a web-delivered game, however.

Got to level 8 then started ****ing around, lost all ships.

Lost the first one trying to recharge, and then I tried to test the recharging ramp (I just couldn't let it go), so I smashed into its pillars to see at which angle I need to enter it to GET it.

Anyway...twa's fun, don't think I cba to do it again.

I first played this a while ago; it's a very cool game.  I'd recommend sticking with the Destroyer, which has the heaviest armor and firepower, for most of the levels, since speed generally isn't that big of a concern.  I seem to remember level 14 being an absolute *****; when you're faced with a lot of difficult enemies, try to pick them off one by one, and refuel/repair as often as possible. (Best advice on this is to slow your speed if you can; if you're being shot at, then just hope that your aim's on.)  The driving game that the same group made is also a lot of fun. :)

I found my self useing the jump thingy a lot more offinceivly than defenceively, when a bunch of badies are comeing right at me I jump to the other side of them, they break formation,  turn around and nock off two or three of them easily.
