Yes, the best amateur production ever will be released on the internet on Saturday 1.10. You definately don't want to miss this.
Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning is a parody of Star Trek, Babylon 5 and of scifi in general. It isn't just a stupid st vs. b5 cgi shortie, but a full lenght movie. Fantastic effects are just the icing on the cake, the comedy value of Star Wreck is priceless. Great original music and hot women are a great bonus too :D. I've watched the DVD four time already and I'm still amazed by the quality of, well, everything. Sure, almost all actors are amateurs but that actually improves the movie, as crazy as it might sound. Star Wreck is proof that with skill and determination you can archieve something great. The movie is well worth the download, for the excellent effects if nothing else.
Did I already mention that the movie has the hottest helmswoman that has graced the bridge of a starship? ;7

Yep, this one is well worth of watching, though some of the comic is unfortunately lost in the translation...
Fire twinklers and light balls! :D
-
yes its the **** :)
-
I watched the movie earlier today from my friend's DVD. I am not really a fan of Star Wreck, but this movie gave a few good laughs. As far as sci-fi parodies go, this movie is a must to see.
-
Täysi kieroutuminen... njytt!
-
"Mä oon TOTAALISEN PERSEET OLALLA!"
Best part of the movie. I was laughing so much it hurt :D
-
i want a perfect ass?
-
Watched the Trailer, and that was AWESOME (even though I couldn't actually understand a word).
Pirk: FUKOOOOOOOV!!!

This is a project I have waited a long time for to be finished and now on 1.10 the internet release will be.

Already been posted.

I have loved the characters of Dwarf, Info and FUKOV (especially) since I first saw Star Wreck II (3-4 years ago). Star Wreck I was a horror to watch as it was all done with Star Control...
This is certaily a landmark achievement for Finland and their first published DVD (true?)

Uh, were not exactly a sucky 3rd world country you know. Unless you meant the first dvd release from the team? :p But yeah, definately a landmark. First pure effects movie in Finland and done by amateurs.
@Ashrak: No, it's a line from our favorite security chief Garybrandy. Your language is so bloody close to ours, you should be able to recognize where he says that :D
@Jetmech Jr: You might not understand the language, but you can understand the subtitles :)
-
@Jetmech Jr: You might not understand the language, but you can understand the subtitles
A'yep. And it's looking good.
FUKOOOOOV!!!
-
nope i dont iv only seen the trailer ... and he only says joni you need to chill out :p
-
hmm...im looking forward to this as well.
One question though: there were other star wreck movies, correct? If so, are they up for download (legally, that is) as well? cant seem to find em anywhere on that site.
-
There were earlier SW -movies. Check here (http://www.starwreck.com/oldies/)
-
If here are some finish people...I heard that the subtitles are a little bit "censored/friendly" compared to what they realy say...is that true?
Maybe I should have learned finish back when I was a child and sometimes in finnland...but with 8 years you most likely don't show so much interest in other languages ^_^
-
The dialogue might be lightly censored in the translation...
I better watch the DVD once again to verify that. :D
-
This was indeed something to wait for. Simply great entertainment for an amateur production.

Well, I doubt they've censored anything intentionally. Sometimes there is a lot of swearing and to save space you have to cut something from the subtitles. Only thing that I can think of that could be considered "censoring" is near the end where the accurate translation would be "Oh ****!" (you know what it says in behind the asteriks, the word begins with s) when the subtitle says "Oh crap!". Oh well, they mean the same thing :p
-
@CF I watched some of the old movies. Now I know where you got your nickname from.
-
I think that in some parts of the film have quite censored subtitles. Though i'm not sure if it is intentional.
(In Finnish)
Esimerkiksi vaikka nyt tuon mustavalkoisen mainosvideon 'suuri saatana' lausunto, joka lienee aika lähelle jonkin nykyisen sählämi-intoilijan tekstiä taisi olla vaihdettu johonkin hieman lievempään. Ystävämme rapakon takana voisivat huonolla tuurilla ottaa tuosta nokkiinsa, vaikka aivan roisina huumorina se onkin sinne laitettu. Muutenkin koko tuota B/W pätkässä käännös on hieman vajavainen, toisaalta se olisikin voinut olla liian pitkä ja nopeatempoinen kunnollista käännöstä varten.

This goes a bit off topic but some fan films really rock!
Like Star Wars Revelations for example...

Revelations isn't bad for a Star Wars fan film, but in my books Star Wreck beats it in every possible way. Yes, I'm biased being a finn but I'm sure all of you will enjoy the movie quite a bit :)
@DaBrain: Yeah, my nick is from Star Wreck III. Poor man, going against a Romuclan Warturkey with a little handtwinkler isn't exactly the greatest idea :D
-
I agree...their are some good SW Fanfilms but they are mostly so damn serious. StarWreck is just fun to watch and with the newest Film also in a very high quality.
-
How many of Star Wreck films were actually made?
There's nothing better than a crazy parody like fanfilm...
Two Funny Polish Star Wars Fan Films (http://stars-in-black.pl/mpg.htm)
Select download as...
1. Stars in Black - a trailer like parody of Matrix and Star Wars
(mostly SW:lol: )
2.Episode III Imladris - an alternative ep III history joking from various other films and some real-life events...
Note the films are in Polish language, but have English subtitles...
Enjoy;)

HAHAHAHA DECIPHER MY CODE HAHAHAHAHA

No okei, tyydytään sanomaan että tekstitys on ihan jees mutta olisi voinut olla parempaa. Vaikeata puuhaa se kääntäminen on, sitä en kiistä.
@aipz: Seven Star Wrecks so far. The older ones are, uh, a bit different from the new movie :nervous:
Oh, and I watched the Imladris. It was a bit strange but well done and quite funny :)
-
Is there a possibility to download these older ones somewhere?
Explanation of some jokes in Imladris:
1. Yoda makes Anakin a Jedi teacher after taking a bribe not under the influence of Force....
2.The Lodz Ambulance taking someone - there was a rather unpleasant situation in this city as few doctors who served in ambulances killed people for undertakers... their trial still continues (sick bastards :ick: )
3. Anakin turns to dark side after his pupils put a bin on his head -
there was a scandal in one of polish high schools that pupils terrozided their English teacher and the strangest thing is that they filmed it and put it in the net...of course they were thrown off the school for such a stupidity :doubt:

Old movies here. (http://www.starwreck.com/oldies/)
Grab them fast, they are about to be taken off from the site.
-
I just saw this link (http://www.starwreck.com/torrent/star_wreck_itp_subtitled_xvid.torrent) if anyone is interested... I didn't try it though, dunno if it works...
-
And there is the official download site - LINK (http://www-fi.starwreck.com/download.php) -
Options for torrent and direct downloads, and in few different versions...
-
My laptop connection sucks. 10 hour download :(.
Korekshun: Apparently the D/L speed wasn't finished slowing down. It's now at 19 hours @ 9.06KB/Sec.
Joy :(.
-
Bloody awesome:yes:
-
Very impressive. The best fan made movie I ever saw!
-
The longest fan film I've ever seen...1h 43 minutes :eek2:
And such a high quality...:jaw:
Plot, effects, humour... everything's awesome... a unique fan film!
Now I understand why it took 6 years to make...;)
Go for Finnland, Yeay, Horay!
Oh, and and Fukov this time send us REAL lightballs not light beer :hopping:
-
VERY impressive. This is on the same level as IMPS. Very well made and overall very worthy of an A+++ grade :D
-
What is IMPS?
-
I.M.P.S. Imperial Military Personnel Stories. Fan movies (currently only 1 chapter has been released, see more here (http://www.impstherelentless.com/tek9.asp)).
It shall be (we can atleast hope it will) a collection of short stories following the daily life of imperial military personnel serving the star destroyer Relentless. I think the first chapter was just great.
"i hate stairs", "i hate splitting up", "i hate..." i just love this character ;)
-
it was fun heh
-
Well, a bit late but I finally watched this, the acting and humour were not quite my cup of tea all the time, but since it's a fan film, I can easily forgive that, specially since my idea of funny would be flashing the warp nacelles for turning etc ;)
The special effects and space battles.....wow! To be honest, Universal Studios could learn a LOT about doing space battles from these guys, pure quality.
-
A small :bump:
Star Wreck: ItP has now been downloaded almost 600 000 times. And that number doesn't include the unoffcial mirrors.
-
Well deserved success. I was very impressed indeed with what I saw.
-
WHOA. :eek2: Best. Space Battle Scenes. EVAR. Hands down.
The rest of the movie was pretty funny, too. Not laugh-a-minute, but not bad. :)
