Post by: Grey Wolf on September 27, 2005, 10:50:16 pm: It was actually quite fun. Reminds me of the one episode of Reading Rainbow where they went around the set, and then showed a bunch of outtakes. The cast was actually very silly.

Incidentally, is it at all odd that I watched both The Next Generation and Reading Rainbow at the same time, and was actually of the appropriate age for the latter?

I actually think that's why Reading Rainbow was as successful as it was (well, if you can define success for a PBS program); kids watching Star Trek (potentially with their parents) in the evening then watching PBS during the day. It probably helped that Geordi's character seemed to actually be written for Levar Burton, instead of the other way around, as the intellectual level, sense of humor, etc. carried well from one show to the other. And he was only acting in one of them.
