Can anyone with a laptop using a widescreen monitor tell me how to change the aspect ratio from 16:10 to 4:3? Like adding black bars on the sides? Every time I try to use an aplication which uses the 4:3 aspect ratio the image gets streched or squeezed to fit the screen. :(
Help?

With mine I just go into my graphics properties and look for the checkbox that says "maintain aspect ratio" and click it.

I know for my 6800GT in my desktop I have to select Aspect Ratio Scaling (I have a 5:4 17" LCD).

On a laptop, it's most likely either a Fn key combo (Fn key + different colored icons on the F1-12 keys), or in the BIOS.
-
Well, the Fn keys do everything except change the aspect ratio and I am unable to find anything having to do with aspects ratios in the definitions and such :(

I'm sure a piddling detail like what make and model of laptop you're using wouldn't be helpful at all.

Nevermind, I found a menu that modified the aspect ratio. ZB sorry, but I thought there was an universal menu or something :p my bad.
Anyway, thanks for the help.
