User Ferric Oxide points to a CNET report on another FCC policy document (pdf) that states "consumers are entitled to run applications and use services of their choice, subject to the needs of law enforcement." As CNET suggests, it's a move to limit what software you can run on your system if that software (Skype, PGPfone) doesn't adhere to Uncle Sam wiretap guidelines.[/q]
