Every time i put the instalation cd in, it gives me this message:
16 bit windows subsystem C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close" to terminate the application.
Any ideas how i can play it? Ive had both FS1 and 2 since the came out back in the ninties. I always played them on 95/98 computers. Can windows XP not support these games or what? Let me know what i should do by emailing me at [email protected]
-thnx

Hey, that reminds me, I can't uninstall FS2...I try to out of the add/remove programs list and get the message;
Unable to copy the installation log file to temporary location 'C:\Windows\_detmp.1'. Please ensure enough space is available for this file
I've checked your FAQ Kara, and couldn't find anything applicable to my situation. Any idea what in the name of Hades is going on...?

Why would you want to unistall FS2? :wtf:
Anyway, you can just delete the C:\Games\Freespace 2 folder to uninstall it.

Never seen that one before so I can't say what's causing it.
Just deleting the folder would probably work though. If it were me I'd rename the folder and then reinstall to check that I can rather than deleting it straight away though.
Actually though weren't you using HotU or one of the other non 3CD methods of installing FS2 at one point? It could be due to that.

Heathen! Burn him!
Anyway, try deleting the folder and using CCleaner to get rid of the leftovers.
