Title: Galaxy backgrounds

I've procured three rather large images of spiral galaxies, and converted them to TGAs (with alpha channels) in case anyone wants to use them. I know that in the Freespace universe, we're pretty much restricted to being inside the galaxy that's being fought over, but what the hell. They look pretty. :)

You could always find a rouge jump node, that would put you into intergalactic space next to a black hole (at a safe distance, so the sci guys can go apes over the invisible neightbour while you go sightseeing).
