All I am going to to say not soon enough. ****.

This reminds me, what ever happened to that proposed FS2 to Battlefield 1942 mod?
-
I wonder if they've fixed the ****ty sights yet. Oh, and done something about ****ing bunnyhoppers.
-
bunnyhoppers?
What annoys me are the ****tards that sit infront of airplanes so you get kicked for TKs. Or when they shoot you to get a vehicle.

How about the guys who run over mines and claymores?
-
you need to watch the road. Mines and claymores are awesome, but you need to watch out for them. Also you should never TK Punish for running over mines and claymore yet people do it anyway. It also annoyme that you can't disarm claymores and mine can't be detonated.

Jump up and down repeatedly as soon as they are being shot at.

That's a whole industry in BF2. People go into the game with an alias account for the sole reason of being ****tards and ruining the gaming experience for other people. They do stuff like; stand on vehicals when someone gets in them, so that if the driver moves - even an inch - the ****tard TKs them. Shoot vehicals they wanted to get but got beaten to...then they do the above...
...but, what the biggest pain for BF2 players is, is that Punishing is almost a reflex for most people when they are TK'ed. I'll admit, some are simply newbs to the game and don't know the gravity of PTK'ing, but many are simply vindictive ****holes that punish every chance they get. Case in point; a commander will be doing a good job, dropping supplies, helping the team, whatever. He's generally a good commander. He drops an Arty strike on an enemy flag, gets 5 enemy kills and clears the way for friendlies to move in. However, he kills one team-mate in the process, who just happened to be in the radius. This guy PTK's...for no reason...he punishes when it was his own goddamn fault (which, luckily, is somethey they seem to have fixed now)...It's a major pain in the arse for the entire community, and something that should be on the top of EA's 's**t to fix' list...:doubt:

Bunny hoppers I usually aim for the head with...I figure I'll hit the torso or their head and they can go on making themselves a bigger target all they want. These are the CS kiddies...

I think we were talking about Battlefield 2...not Rainbow Six. Frankly the two are entirely different games...
Lets try and have a bit more class next time ok.
-
Oh yes the bunny hoppers. They are so ****ing annoying. The other thing that bothers me are PKMs. They are a little to powerful.
I really hope they fixed the memory leaks. And the serious server slow downs. I swear the whole game is jumpy for the first 5 minutes.
-
PKM's are fine as they are. Sure they are powerful but in order to hit one bullet you need to shoot 50
I know since I have unlocked it. Nice gun, but the only way to kill with it is to shoot continuous fire and then hope some of the bullets hit. Oh and lay down of course if the victim is not right in front of you. So I think it's quite well in balance.

I do have something good to say, VOIP is wonderful. I can communicate with the commander as to where he needs air strikes etc. Also communicating with co-pilots is great. It is so useful.
-
VOIP is nice, but I've only ever really seen it used once (well, in English. I did play on a server where there were 4 or 5 German - I think - guys using it), and I have to admit feeling a bit out of place if I'm the only one using it. That and I tend to play at midnight just before going to bed, and shouting 'incoming fire' or some other rubbish might upset the parents a tad.
-
I play with my friends mainly so we use TeamSpeak. I do have the VoiP on though just in case... usually the only one speaking in it is a commander who doesn't speak english. :p

Some impressions I have, the promotions are way too easy. WHen I logged on I recieved 4 promotions. As well as 4 weapon unlocks, a new ribbon etc. however, the tv guided missles are much more responsive. Wake Island map is awesome. Only thing is that infantry and totally be raped by attack helicopters.
-
The 1.03 update is indeed an exellent patch... but the massive amount of promotions really make the promotions itself quite meaningless. Sure it's a nice thing for the individuals who play now and then, but for us "HC soldiers" promotions are not such a big thing anymore... unless the amount of required points go up exponentially when higher in the rankings.
Oh well, at least the other improvements were done perfectly.
-
Better than having to play for ****ing weeks on end just to unlock a weapon.
-
Thank god for making promotions faster...I was never going to see another weapon ever.
-
On a side note, POST YOUR STATS :D

160 hours?
Wow. Never beaten 80 hours in a game.
-
-
Hmmm, yea it's good that the requirements for the ranks were lowered but perhaps they were a bit too generous this time :p
(unless, as I said, the requirement goes up big time when being higher in the ranks). Meh, whatever.... it's ok.
