Okay, so I promised to keep a lowe profile and not update the page. I'm just not very good with promises.
What am I talking about? The few small updates at the The Fall of Night (//"http://koti.mbnet.fi/jabu") webpage.
More specifically, info on some of the ships I've managed to texture (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
-
You updated it? Why don't you add a link in your siggy? It was difficult to find your page without it. Not now, I mean before this post.

Hey, nice ships. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
I laughed when I saw the rock that had 'Manouverability: Good'. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)

LĂ–ooks good, but the Akira looks kinda funny
-
How so?
-
no visible cockpit
and I think it looks to heavy in the front
-
It's over 60 meters long and has a good short-range sensors system. It's got a very built-in cockpit which only shows up as a light on the hull, disguising it well. Because these ships are used very rarely, and they're very expensive and easy pickings for faster ships, it was deemed necessary to hide the cockpit so no lucky interceptor-pilot would get an easy kill (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/tongue.gif)
And it's got a lot of engines in the back too, the reactor, sensors and shield projector (very heavy) are located in the front.

I've been working on that for the last few hours. It just needs the 'Halberd Spaceworks' logo and a few turrets (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

****z that looks good, mean hand of god! (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

Spank me dolphinfaced, that's good!

looks cool, but doesn't look really terran, yes?
-
Nice! Change the textures around a little and you could have an excellent looking base (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
-
Hmm... can't be bothered, must think reason for base to have Typhon and Demon textures...
Umm... the main hull was built after some Demon wreckage discovered in Wolf 359, for extra durability. That's also the headquarters of Halberd Industries. And it's big. Like, very big. The largest construction yard is over 6 clicks long (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
But it's easy enough to swap the textures, once it's a POF.
-
Heh! When's it gonna be ready? (the campaign)

When it's done (ie. when I can get all the mods finished (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif)). I've already done most of the missions, but with replacement ships (like a friendly Moloch instead of the Odysseus [small size, carries fighters]). But that station is rather important to the first few missions.

Whoa, another nice model-o. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)
