Frost is a wimp. I'd like to see Paxman on al-Jazeera.

I still can't have a conversation about Micheal Howard without it dissolving in to a round of "But did you threaten to overrule him?" jokes :D

No doubt he'll be pushing for the much sought after time slot straight after the daily beheading. Seriously though, what a traitorous **** getting involved with that lot.

"So Osama, straight onto the tough issues that we all want answers for.

Would you like a biscuit?"

I'm trying to understand why an englishman taking a job with al-Jazeira is 'treason'. Are we going to the Anne Coulter school of character assassination now?

Erm....al Jazeera was founded by the staff of BBC Arabic after it closed down. The impression I got from Control Room ("http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Control_Room") was that al-J is pretty buddy-buddy with British journalists.

Because Al-J shows stuff from militants, etc, that probably wouldn't be shown on the bbc (etc) for various reasons.  Because they seem to be the preferred recipient of tapes from various militant/terrorist groups, it seems to be interpreted that they're either connected or favouring them.

From all I can gather, Al-J is actually a pretty neutral/balanced channel; it's just that it has a different perspective to western media, so of course it's focus will more be upon the islamic/arab views.

Ah, in that case George W. Bush is a traitor because he knowingly goes on television stations that show stuff from various militant/terrorist groups.

Noo....it's not the showing, but the being chosen to show that's important here.
