Title: Fred question regarding Vasudan Command
Post by: Fractux on October 09, 2005, 06:53:27 pm
I've been doing some searching to try and figure this out, but so far I'm stumped.

I want to make it so that I can still use the built in messages in game, but that Command uses Vasudan Command, and not Terran Command.

I though I saw this posted a while ago, but I've been unable to find it, and looking through the V campain hasn't yielded anything.

Anyways, if it's not possible, then it just means more scripting to make up for the lack of chatter when disabling the ingame messages.

You sure that there even is a vasudan command apart from the single Vasudan on a capship ani?

There are no vasudan command sound samples in stu_fs2.vp

There's Head-VC2a, 2b, 2c - on the Psamtik - which I perhaps wrongly assumed would be "Vasudan Command".

Hmm, my problem is more that there isn't a terran command in the small scenario I'm putting together, and when Command comes over the con and says hostile signatures detected, it kind of wierd.

I'll just use a custom messages table, which is not a problem. I was just wondering, since I'm still pretty new to Fredding :)

Yeah, you need to change messages.tbl.
