It's a good idea. But I really don't think it'll ever work.

If [V] doesn't care about the VBB (which it clearly doesn't) They might as well get rid of it instead of letting it fester.

Good idea man, but it just ain't gonna happen. It's gotten to the point where making many people leave the VBB is like forcing a farmer off his land- "Ah jus' ain't gonna go! Mr. Smart-Newbie-Man ain't gonna tell ME what to do!"
But otherwise, I agree entirely that it would preovide mild relief- in theory. Or the moderators might get fed up with the spammers that would necessarily follow in the exodus and have the VWBB closed. But I think the VBB provides a very valuable resource for the community- it attracts all the spammers away so we can have nice cleanish boards such as this! If the VBB weren't around, you'd bet we'd see many more spammers here- although not so many as the VBB has now.
