can anyone give me a link to omni's Star Trek MOD that's all grouped into one?
the search is a piece of ****, kept giving me "Sorry, no matches found" bs.
-
There isn't, I don't think. I once upon a time tried to undertake such a project --- to merge ALL the prototypes he ever made into one superfile --- but somewhere down the line things broke and I had to delete the whole thing due to myriad errors popping up. mainly, the tables were conflicting/badly parsing like mad and I didn't feel like debuggin them.
For a time, however, it worked quite nicely.
The problem is that each and every Omniscaper Star Trek ship he ever came out with had its own table file containing references to all the other star trek ships, so it was hard to figure out exactly which order to install the star trek ships so that the latest table file would always be the last to be installed...try it yourself if you want to.
as for actual links to each of the ships, sorry, can't produce any off the top of my head

I've done this, actually. Cobra, PM me and i'll upload it over at GW. It's a complete pack of all his trek mods rolled into one, including tables and such.

Sometimes, Cobra, when someone cannot provide you with the exact answer, they may believe it to be helpful to point you in the right direction. It's called helping.

*smacks Cobra*
If you make a request, and someone gives you a polite, helpful reply, don't respond rudely. You might not get any help next time you ask.

Slightly OT, but he has a point there, something's wrong with the search function.
I was searching for the link to the high-poly Modelview version, so I searched for "modelview" and the results were a mere 13 threads for the entire forum.
A search for "PCS" in the FS modding forum yields a whole whopping 5 (yes five) hits, which is definitely :doubt:

Search is borked. The admins know already.
As for modelview High Limits check the tools page of my FAQ.

Thanks, turns out it's the same version I have already. But TBP has some POFs which yield the "Too many bounding boxes" error. And I had a vague memory that there might be an even higher-limits version, probably not though.

The wiki has the absolute latest version that is able to open any model I've so far come across, including much larger pcx maps than before. :) http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/fsdoc/index.php?pagename=ModelView%2032

Ah yes, that's the one. Problem solved. Thanks a bunch :)

lol, two downloads and it burned out my accounts bandwidth. Time to make some new links in the wiki methinks. :)

Aside from the nice work done on the combination individually they should still be available at Anon's site.... In the Star Trek thread... In case Trek searches here miss something.

Awesome, thanks. I've just uploaded them to my own site too, so now I can fix both pairs of outdated links. :)
