Well iam a nood to all things Fs it even took me a while to figure out how to play the FSport missions :rolleyes: and i really wanted to cos i thought where  better to start that the beging. Anyway ive got the fs_open thing, all movies (fs1 and fs2) ive been playing through the missions and i got the the first vid but after loading i hear the movie but i dont see it it just stays with the loading screen untill i press escape. any clues ? thx

This is a bug with FS2_Open, so you should probably look there for your answers. It would help if you posted where you got your copy of FS2, what version of FS2 Open you're using, and whether you have the MVE or AVI movies.

oh sorry, but thx ill check there. i have a reatail copy of fs2 and iam useing "fs2_open_r-20051017" i have MVE fs2 movies from disks and got avi's of fs1 and fs2 movies i dont know about teh fs1 vids as i dl them but the fs2 vids are compressed with the divx 5.2.1 codec.

Never mind it must be realted to Direct X8 mode, i just tryed openGL and they work now. Sorry to mess up your board with this

It's not a problem. In fact if we have to deal with bug reports I'd rather deal with ones like this were to reporter can avoid the bug but can help us fix it by reproducing it :D

other than this is there any recomended upgrades, mods anybody.

If your system is up to date (that is, if you have 512 megs of ram or more, a 1+ gig processor and a video card you bought within the past two years) you should try the Media VPs. They have upgraded models, textures, and special effects. The sticky thread at the top of the forum should point you in the right direction. :)

heh thanks iam in the process of dl them. As far as pc power no prob 3.2Ghz P4 1 Gig Ram 256mb 7800GT so no probs there
