What about more Sathanas and some Shivan fighters as well?

Pretty, but a few helpful pointers (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)
The nebula in the background... just one solid line that just doesn't look right.
Those little lines on the Sathanas beam weapons glows...
You might try a little more cloud on the planet - That way I reckon it'd look much better as the Sath. beams would be going through the cloud - hence the slightly dumbed down glow from them.
Apart from that - nice!

Here's a tip: put lots of shadows on your renders. Less light sources. We've all seen a Sathanas before, we don't need to see all its details again (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

i only used one light source besides the default lights and i weakened them. it looks better with a lower brightness setting on your monitor. and i can't do anything about the lines. they are not part of the glow, but the very end of the beams. the only way to get rid of them is to make the glow bigger and that would look stupid. i know the nebula looks crappy. it didn't turn out as well as the Deimos one.

Hmm, have you got Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro? You could manually blur the lines on the beams and due you the way you do your rendering it probably wouldn't be that obvious, whilst getting rid of an obvious flaw in it all.
