:rolleyes: I know it looks like the Apollo from the intro, I recognized that right away. What I'm asking is if they've managed to make the in-game Apollo look as good as the one in the intro.

Looks like they've cut & pasted off of the Volition renders at descen-tnetwork to make the Apollo maps.

Oh god, Is it really an existing Apollo model for download ? I mean the one which match the Fs1 Intro (gamma 39)

They're never going to make an Apollo that looks EXACTLY like the one in the intro unless we get some form of self-illumination for lights on the ships...which is, no doubt, how the actual cutscene was rendered. With light sources ON the ships during rendering.

One of my current projects is to convert that mishmash into a hi-res Apollo reskin that matches the original UVs. If at all possible I'd prefer Nico to put the finishing touches on it, as he's clearly the best at getting the most out of the original game resources.

Have you ever seen the stuff Omni did with hid Galaxy classs Enterprise? (Trekkies don't bash me if I got it wrong.)
Glowmaps can do wonders. (Sometimes it can look fake, however usually the effect is gorgeous.)
He's one of the modellers/mappers who is truely capable of taking advantage of what the engine is capable.
