Neil Gaiman does the story and Dave McKean does the cool, twisted visuals. (the same team that did Sandman)
Trailer here (//"http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/mirrormask.html") and video clips plus an alternate trailer :here (//"http://www.bulletsofautumn.com/mckean-art/mirrormask.html").

Your mention of Neil Gaiman instantly got my interest there... I'll check it out.

Oooooooohhhh......
This could be a bit good....
-
Interesting. Looks very different from anything I've seen so far.
-
Looks trippy... :shaking: :nervous: :wtf: :sigh: :( :)
Can anyone say wizard of oz on steroids?
-
What IS it? Movie? Game?
-
Movie. Only playing in the US right now. Seems really interesting, though I'll probably wait for it to hit theatres rather than ruining the experience by watching it on a dirty 17" monitor.
-
Heh, I'll be lucky if it gets any big screen time at all here...
Incidentally, does anyone else think that Good Omens would make an unspeakably cool film? Alan Rickman as Crowley...
-
If I had my digital camera, I'd take a picture of myself (re)reading Good Omens with this thread open, because that's what I was just doing.
As for MirrorMask...well, I hope they have plans to release it overseas, even if its just in arthouse cinemas. From what I know, it's just been recently released even in the US, so probably in a few months it will be making the rounds over the pond.
-
So they finally got around to releasing the movie? I've seen the book about making it a few times in bookstores, but I hadn't realized the release was yet.
EDIT: Hmm.... Very limited release, and I'm not quite willing to walk ten miles to see it. I guess Neverwhere will have to tide me over unless they decide to go for a wider release.

I agree but seeing as how Diskworld was almost universally ignored when converted to cartoon I doubt many are willing to try it.

That might be because the cartoon sucked like Daikatana.
