Welocome Alpha, Alpha breakes the record for Tropical systems in a single year. It is expected to make landfall in Haiti, and then be orbsorbed.

Basically, it's looped past Z for the first time, so they've had to start using Alpha, Beta etc for them ;)

Yeah, that basicly it, and BTW Would an Admin kindly change "Fleared" to "cleared" in the title:D

OK, so we've got a record number of tropical storms in one year, plus earthquakes/floods/natural disasters every two seconds.

Someone tell me again how pumping shit into the atmosphere has nothing to do with anything, honest.

Sure they can. It just means we haven't been making enough sacrifices to appease the gods. There's nothing like a few virgins to keep the disasters away.
