Speaking much better than he did when he was running for president

Whahahhahahahhahhahahhah!
Oh wait... You were serious.
-
I see your grasp of political nuance and sharp, incisive, informing criticism is as strong as ever, then.
-
No, I simply do not understand why this even is being posted here. The election is over. John Kerry lost. Therefore his existence is no longer important.

Bad Deepblue, bad - don't make aldo's points for him!

I don't mind the criticism. The messenger, however, is old, stale, and crustly, much like the overbaked bread no one wants to eat.
-
Take a look at 90% of governments, or, indeed oppositions.
-
Edit: n/m

deepblue: yes, so nothing he says is important just because he lost an election under dubious circumstances.
yes nothing he says, like proposition a possible tenable exit stragety for Iraq Matters
This declairation of irrelevance brought to you by the Neoconservative antithought machine.

So content doesn't matter, only how flashy & shiny the words look?
If the messenger isn't appointed, delivered and turned out to the preferred specifications of perma-tan and white toothy grin, then clearly we shouldn't bother listening?
That's a remarkably Fisher-Price way of looking at things.

sounds like neoconservativism to me

I believe he is still a Senator in the United States Senate. I believe that it is the job of Congress to provide a critical check and balance of the Executive. I believe that the Senate is actually part of Congress.
Tell me why, again, that we shouldn't listen to him?
I believe they still teach "checks and balances" in US Government classes, since it's pretty much a founding tenet of our democracy.
Not to mention, regardless of loss, half (or nearly half, depending on who's doing the counting) the country actually wanted this man to be President. It's not chess or checkers, the "loss"doesn't mean the loser gets taken out and shot, they are still breathing, they are still American, therefore, they still are allowed to speak their mind.
One failed Presidential election bid does not obviate somoene's opinion or ability to actually say somethign meaningful.

Because we don't like what he's saying, and it's more fun to stick our fingers in our ears, close our eyes, and go nyah-nyah-nyah till he goes away?
(metaphysical we)

Ah. That clears it up. Is that what they teach in school now about how American democracy works?
Perhaps I should enroll in a GED course, my education was clearly inferior.

That and the bit about spanking with a leather clad, studded paddle.

Fine, I'll go post a thread concerning something conservative to further your false impression of me as a neocon.
PHEAR!
Actually I'm an authoritarian centrist.
-
an authoritarian... go live in some dictactorship and see how long your love for authoritarianism lasts
-
You forget that I am the dictator.

I could understand not wanting to put any weight on what Ted Kennedy says. But I don't see why anyone should dismiss what John Kerry says immediatly without giving some thought about it. On a side note, I am not a John Kerry fan.

no.. you're not
